Whether you are a new or well-established Goldendoodle Breeder, become a breeder member of GANA and have a say in the future development of your breed, get support from a mentor, or get involved in continuing education opportunities!

Please follow these steps 1-4 to apply for Breeder Membership in GANA

Step 1: Complete Individual membership application.

Step 2: Complete kennel application.

Step 3: Pay membership dues of $100 (paid annually).

Annual Renewal - $100

Step 4: Send copy of your kennel’s warranty to “warranty submission

Once steps 1-4 above are complete and have been reviewed by GANA, the Registrar will activate your membership and your kennel listing will be added to the member breeders’ page. You are now eligible to register your qualified breeding dogs with GANA.

Registration of Breeding Dogs

Please follow these steps 1-3 to register your breeding dogs. New members: if you need assistance registering your breeding dogs in the GANA database, please contact the registrar here.
Step 1: Submit pedigrees, copies of required health testing, and photos of each breeding dog to the Registrar. This can be done via email here: Registrar, fax (304-258-4158), or snail mail (GANA Registrar, 448 Mountain Laurel Drive, Berkeley Springs, WV 25411)
Step 2: Click on this link to enter the dog’s basic info.
Step 3: Pay registration fee for each breeding dog submitted. Note: You will only be paying for the breeding dogs in your program and not for any of the ancestors in the pedigree.
Note: Please list the Dog’s name in the comment section of paypal for easier processing.
Note: GANA will no longer accept Continental Kennel Club or American Canine Association pedigrees as proof of lineage unless accompanied by DNA test results proving the dog in question is comprised of only the genes of a Golden Retriever and a Poodle.

Once all your breeding dogs are registered, you will also be sent a personalized GANA logo to add to your website. GANA asks that you place a link to the GANA website on your website. You will also be assigned a ribbon level (red or blue) based on the health testing you have submitted. Your ribbon level will be visible next to your kennel listing on the GANA website. Please note that if you have one dog that only qualifies at the red ribbon level, you will receive a red ribbon designation even though you may have some dogs at the blue ribbon level.

Litter Registration

Please follow steps 1-3 to register new litters. Note: Both parents must be GANA registered.
Step 1: Login to the GANA Database. Access database here
Step 2: Click on “Register a New Litter” and fill out the form by selecting the dam and sire and
enter the date of birth, breed, etc. Then click on “continue”.
Step 3: For each puppy:

A – Enter each puppy using a unique name for each one. The requested protocol is for you
to use the microchip number in the name, i.e.: Pink053465098. Do not use a name used
previously.

B – Indicate either “entire” (sold or kept intact), “desexed” (before being sold), or “contract”
(requiring desexing by contract)

C – Include microchip or tattoo information as well as predicted height.

Note: A non-compliance fee will be added to register litters after the deadline (90 days post whelping). That fee will double the registration fee

Litter registration fees are $15 per litter plus $5 per puppy

Litter registrations are typically processed the day they are received and mailed the next day. With your litter registration forms, you will receive one copy of the owner registration instruction page. You will need to copy and give one instruction sheet with each individual litter registration paper.

Transfer of Ownership

Please follow these steps 1-2 to transfer ownership of GANA registered dogs:
Note: New papers can only be produced if both the original and the new owner
are either owner or breeder members of GANA.

Step 1: Original owner must notify Registrar in writing that ownership has changed. This is required before the new owner can request the transfer of the dog be made.
Step 2: Upon completion of step 1 by original owner, the new owner then pays a $10 transfer fee, click here
